Which real wood would absorb the least volume of normal water?

Test Modifications:

1 . Instead of constraining the try things out to five (5) varieties of wood, 9 (9) more were used. In total, just fourteen (14) kinds were analyzed.

2 . Besides the weight gain in the wood trials, thickness improvements were also watched and recorded.

3. Two sorts of weighing scales were utilized: a " needle” analyzing scale and a digital considering scale (instead of a balance scale).

Limitations:

1 . Only one (1) Circular of Trials was completed on Pine and Molave/Mulawin since just (1) one sample of each and every was available.

2 . A number of samples of a lot of samples originated from different options; thus, a lot of starting weight load varied.

Experiment Treatment and Results:

A. First Round of the Experiment

1 . The Solid wood Samples to get the first set were weighed and measured prior to submerging in water intended for the 1st twelve (12) hours, after which it they were weighed and measured again. 2 . The Wooden Samples were submerged in water for another twelve (12) hours, then simply weighed after.

3. The Wood Selections were submerged in normal water again, but this time, for 24 (24) directly hours. The ultimate weights and thicknesses were recorded.
